The Grand Rapids Rise had their first season of Pro Volleyball this year. Before the season ended, some of their team came in to get a workout in while also getting some recovery in before game day.
A common misconception is that the reformer is too small for professional athletes; that's why we chose the reformers we have. They are built for all heights and sizes.
The girls stated that the reformer was the ultimate full-body workout. Pushing their muscles while also helping their core. Unlike their team lifts, the reformer worked their core immensely. People love core for abs, but all athletes need a strong core to thrive in their sport.
Something they also loved was the need to connect mentally. The reformer forced them to connect their mind and muscles more than lifting. At times, this even challenged them. Most importantly, they enjoyed working out without the stress on their joints. They are constantly jumping or on the floor, and their joints hurt from lifting. The reformer proved to have the capability of working all of their muscles just as much as their team lifts, but without the pain. The girls hope to return next year, and loved finding their GRIT. RISE UP!
